Field Report: In Search of the Newfie Bullet - Part 5
This train set consists of the steam engine and a reasonably complete set of passenger cars including a diner. The steam engine was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in January of 1921 as Build 54401.
It is a 4-6-2 Pacific, one of six built for the railway. It was retired in 1957. As can be seen below, the dining car display a nicely set table using tableware from the end of the era of passenger travel in Newfoundland.
